and that's excactly the point... there's a big difference between
constructive and destructive criticism. and the people who so readily >puts
forth the criticism haven't even been there.
*ahem* I was there the first night you played. Not to mention going to
small shindigs there over two years ago. But you forgot that otto made
another point: if people are allowed positive comments on a subject, then
negative comments are just as valid. Personally? whenever writes something
negative about me, or my music, i take it to heart. No matter how flaming
the response is, there's some truth to it (except mr. burns' "you faggot ass
techno poser" post. that was worthless). but i'm generally open minded and
empathetic.
for people who are *so* all about the music, I saw ONE review of the music
on that night. ONE REVIEW. I hope this sheds some light as to why my post
was so negative. People talk their game about the importance and elevation
of their music, but when the night came the situation and the enviroment
certainly appeared more important. (thank to g for bringing this point up).
Anyways, in person my arguements appear more constructive, although not any
less harsh.
*sigh* so who's going to the next jak?
