Not *really* answering your question C, but...

There is a brilliant album by the artist Wechsel Garland (Jorg Follert) on
German label Morr Music. The music was originally composed by Jorg
specifically for a German ballet, which was performed in Bonn early last
year. He subsequently extended the tracks and released them as the
aforementioned self-titled album.
