ahhh...Honkeytonks. when i was in Melbourne earlier this year i was at a
club in china town and got kinda bored there, so i asked the bartender chick
where a good club was that wouldn't be calling the whole city, that played
good music, and had decent drink prices. she gave me directions to
honkeytonks which was within walking distance. i gotta tell you, after
getting lost in the alleys and wondering around for a good half-hour, the
guy standing at the rope in front of a completely black building was a
welcome sign. they let me in and i went up, what is it, three or four
stories, into one of the coolest looking clubs i have ever been to. it was
pretty roomy too. the bartender girls loved American men too...i got my
round of drinks (for me and my girlfriend) for only 3 or 4 dollars
Australian while my girlfriend had to spend 13 or 14....ahhh, the memories.
