don't forget the Nord Micro-Modular.
I remember the first US tour he did back in 98. He played in some little
hole-in-the-wall in Windsor and he was rocking 2 QY-700's and the dual arm
1200's that he did the Concept remixes with. The sound was awful that night,
but just the sheer weirdness of the stuff he was playing made it worthwhile.
That was one of those noteworthy gigs that is going to stay with me for
awhile.
nowadays he just uses a laptop with software that was customized by the guys
from Deepchord on their Dairy Ranch in Wisconsin. He is using the DC/TC
Electronics Hiss-Inducer VST Plug-in series, as well as their custom
"DeepSynth" VST Plug-in(which all the DC records were made with, and
processed through as well as many of the new Salz and Kompakt records.) Good
luck getting a copy, DC use a dongle system and they only give copies to
recognized producers whose records they know and respect. I have been told
that there are less than 20 copies in circulation(the Basic Channel/Carl
Craig split on Planet E used the software and one of the prototype T.C.
Electronics boxes the are developing.)
