some of my fave albums of 2001
india.arie - acoustic soul (motown)
- only one can be the most most, most soulful, those vocals, aahhhh!
future beat alliance - disconnected (delsin)
- soultechno going back to the early inventing soulful years, and as well
up-to-date
osunlade - paradigm (soul jazz)
- re-inventing house, easily creating an own new genre
domu - up+down (archive)
- jazz of the future? crossing boundaries
yesterdays new quintet - angels without edges (stones throw)
- or maybe this one? the best fusion between hip hop and jazz yet
pete rock - pete strumentals (bbe)
- still doing it as ever strong as before..
herbert - bodily functions (studio !k7)
- acoustic house? check this out live as well, very beautiful!
offworld - two worlds (far out)
- the long awaited 'comeback' of kirk degiorgio, spaced out

Still room for more? This is a slightly incorrect inclusion but, I'm still
compelled to say (IMHO): If you don't already own 'Secret Life of Plants'
(which for me is amongst my best purchases of last year) ... I'd say please
do yourself a favour.
