OK, first off, Muller was head of the Gestapo. For anyone in doubt, a quick
web-search will tell you that. And as far as there being no place for that
sort of sentiment at Gigolos, it isn't of course, the first time nazi
imagery has been used to portray a particular image in dance music (New
Order / Joy Division being the most obvious example). Quite frankly, while
it's a little tasteless, I can't actually see anything wrong with them using
this name to throw a spanner in the works and it's nothing that hasn't been
done before (pleeeease no flames... I already know the arguments against
this sort of thing. I'm not a bigot. I just think it has a well established
artistic precedence). Then again, who knows? why release the name now? Is it
perhaps to build up a bit of record-selling controversy (very Siouxsie...)
in time for their album release?
