I think doing our own thing may well be better than meeting at a club, although someone essentially has to take responsibility. Who knows, if enough people are into, it could become a regular thing. I'm tired too of the London scene, it's too fragmented and awash with apathy. Let's not rely on big name DJs anymore.

I'm sure if enough people chipped in with cash, talet, resources etc.. we could get a wicked party together. I reckon you could get Groovetech UK to do a live feed so those around the world could tune in. Then we could get a 200k soundsystem, a multicoloured lazer system and thoise wierd dwarfs that you get juggling fire around the clubs in Ibeza (apparently) and what about toilet seats at the bar!!! > Ok, so I'm joking, but I'm deadly serious about the rest of it (everything before the 200k system) > > If there are any serious moves being made out there as a result of this thread please get in touch as I'd love to help out. > > Cheers > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > www.digital-soul.co.uk > > > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Date: Tue 05/Feb/2002 14:26 CET > > To: [email protected] > > Subject: RE: [313] list party/gathering in the UK > > > > > > yeah, I'm in too.. > > > > of course the easy option is to just organise everyone to turn up at one gig, but if we need a place for approx. 100 people then I know a bar in central London we can have for free. > > > > Nic > > > > > > On 05/02/2002 13:07:55 Ian Cheshire wrote: > > > I am in!!!!! > > > > > > anyone else....??? > > > > > > > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > > From: rob webb [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > Sent: 05 February 2002 13:12 > > > To: [email protected] > > > Subject: [313] list party/gathering in the UK > > > > > > > > > dear all, > > > > > > the recent "about the members" thread, along with the comments about the > > > state of the UK techno clubs made me think that perhaps it might be cool if > > > we held a 313 gathering/party (in the UK, London perhaps?) sometime this > > > year. all list members would be welcome of course, tho i realise the idea's > > > > > > most likely to appeal to those of us who are based in the UK and Europe. > > > > > > i'm figuring we'd need an ok-sized venue, a bar or small club, with djing > > > and live-sets from list members - we seem to have plenty of djs and > > > producers on here! > > > > > > the Lowlands list held something similar back in October 2000 - some > > > pictures here: > > > http://technotourist.org/modules.php?set_albumName=album04&op=modload&name=G > > > allery&file=index&include=view_album.php. > > > > > > any thoughts? anyone out there? am i having a 313 gathering on my own, > > > down the pub, with a pint of guinness and a packet of pork scratchings, and > > > Relics on my walkman? > > > > > > > > > > > > rob > > > > > > > > > _________________________________________________________________ > > > Join the world's largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. > > > http://www.hotmail.com > > > > > > > > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > > > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > > > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > > Regards, > > Nic Larsen > > DSG Tech Desk x55000 > > > > +44 (0) 207 542 1527 > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > > > > > -------------------------------------------------------------- -- > > Visit our Internet site at http://www.reuters.com > > > > Any views expressed in this message are those of the individual > > sender, except where the sender specifically states them to be > > the views of Reuters Ltd. > > > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________________________________ > Never pay another Internet phone bill! > Freeserve AnyTime, for all the Internet access you want, day and night, only £12.99 per month. > Sign-up at http://www.freeserve.com/time/anytime > > > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
