Not entirely sure, but when I was at Yoshi Toshi today some guy was picking
up Moodyman's "The Dancer", and it had the same art as the original pressing
for $7.49. I assume it must have been a repress. Their website does not list
any of the represses though... Maybe give them a call???

Oh, and get this - I perused the used bins and found Nu Era's Broken Techno,
M>O>S featuring Ayro Dee, and Daff's Reversal each for $2.99!!!
Unfortunately, there's not much else worth looking for in those bins now,
unless you want one of 10 copies of Hakan Lidbo's "Bad Girls Go to Hell". :)
It's a funny song...

And while on the topic of my trip to Yoshi Toshi, Surgeon's "Screw the
Roses" is nice and textural with his trademarked beats, the Smyglyssna on
Background (019) is a distinct take on click & cutlery, Korsakow's (AKA Dub
Taylor AFAIK) Decore is some excellent retro-disco'ey house with just the
right touch of cheeze and Nathan Haynes "Long" on Chili Funk with the 4 Hero
remixes is some great broken beat funk. I'm not precisely sure how much of
this is "new", but all of it has some tenuous 313 connection.

And to run with that topic... I just saw Vikter Duplaix, and was not overly
impressed (not to slag the guy - just my take on it). 1st mix = 8 bars, with
poor placement. 2nd mix = 8 bars and sounded rushed even in that short
period. 3rd and 4th mixes were slams. 5th mix was a 16-bar ambient mix. You
get the idea... He played some beautiful music I don't often get to hear in
DC, like "Hold it Down", but the mixing was energy deficient enough to make
me want to leave after 45 minutes. Phred was out here this weekend and he
can confirm if we need another voice. Perhaps I would've had more energy to
stick it out if I hadn't sat through two hours of locked groove techno from
Mistress Barbara until 4:30 the night before... She's got good skills, but
I'm so sick of "music" that isn't.
