Watching "Gentlemen Prefer French & Saunders" last night - DVD of highlights from the British sketch-comedy show that spawned "Absolutely Fabulous." The actual sketch that originated the "AbFab" idea was called "Modern Mother and Daughter" and it's included on this DVD. The sketch takes place during a party where the mom character's friends are all throwing down while the daughter character is trying to study. What is the party music? "Good Life." My jaw dropped. "AbFab" had lots of jokes about rave culture over the years; both the Pet Shop Boys and Junior Vasquez have cut "AbFab" records. But this is the only 313 reference I know of in their oeuvre - Frankie Knuckles is as close as "AbFab" itself ever got.
