the below only correlates to fade ins in techno if the fade in on a techno
track takes techno (or the djing of that techno track) to a new level in
terms of the listening/dancing experience. i don't believe fade ins do this.

also i can't believe how rude people are on this list. this is only a
discussion on fade ins. there is no need for effing and blinding and
dissing other peoples ability just because they have an opinion that
differs to yours.

of course many of the people who've expressed an opinion that fade ins
ruin a lot of their favorite tracks easily have the technical ability to
work around it but that wasn't the original point.

the point is if i want to keep the music i play 'musical' (and not some
experiment in sound design that must be challenging to the ear and ass) it
is nice if i can keep the mix within certain musical boundaries so it
sounds musical (and no this doesn't mean boring, pretty much all dance music
is 4/4 time signature anyway yet we all pretty much agree that dance music
is not boring, why else would you be on the list)

all this is just my opinion tho, if you've read this far you can have
yours too now. it won't upset me enough to start swearing :)
