RICHIE HAWTIN UK LIVE DATES Richie Hawtin, who last year released the brilliant "DE9: Closer To The Edit" album, is set to play UK and Irish live dates as part of his ongoing world tour. Recognised as one of the finest DJ talents around, Hawtin's unique "Decks, EFX & 909" set sees him transform the traditional DJ set into a truly live event. Constantly touring all over the world, he's been championing a revolutionary new DJ system developed in Holland called Final Scratch, with Plus 8 partner John Acquaviva. Final Scratch links up to the normal two-turntables-and-mixer set up with a laptop, using a special piece of vinyl as a 'mouse', or controller. This new system allows access to thousands of tracks, which can then be scratched, cut, slowed and mixed, just like normal records.
