Fridays at Sub-Tonic with Timeblind are pretty good. I hear the Saturday night Foundation party at GrooveJet is all that and a bag of chips:) Also my friend Shane Delinks is playing at Openair on Saturday...he is one smooth mixer, check 'im out.
If you're Hell-bent on checking out Hotel bars I really like 44 @ The Royalton...though the Tribeca Grand is pretty cool as well.
