If this wasn't what Sunday last year @ DEMF 2 was about, I don't know what
it was. I lament having missed the Planet E party. I wish to God I could've
been there to take part in the Ultradyne bash. I hear great stories about
the Hawtin party too. If this sort of obscene "make your decision and stick
with it" style of party-going is not what DEMF is going to be about this
year, I don't know what to expect, but if the after-party vibe this year is
1/2 what it was last year, it will still leave me counting the days until
Memorial Day weekend 2003.

Simply put, from 10pm @ Lager House - 5am @ the Detroit Contemporary, I was
in a different blissful world from what we normally inhabit. To see TP,
Brett Dancer, Moodymann and Larry Heard in a nearly seemless chain, after a
day of phenomenal PA's @ the underground stage, I couldn't have been
happier. It restored my faith in the reason I was there. This year, the
Trackmode party alone is incentive to travel 550 miles.

Have faith that the parties will make the trip worthwhile, whatever happens
at the festival. Chances are the festival will rock too. Goddam I'm excited.
:) I can't believe it's been 11 months already! This festival has defined my
life for the last two years solid. Everything else has been measured by this
stick, intentionally or otherwise.
