oh please. if you've never gone past 7am without 'help' than that's your problem. maybe you don't love the music as much as you think.
i'm not saying there weren't people using assistance, but there were definately more wasted folks at 3am than at 7am. here's a concept, how hardcore are the folks at 9am who are completely on the comedown, but don't go home because they want to hear more. the iron man of the whole demf was mike reuben (is he on this list?) the guy doesn't drink, drug, smoke, or maybe even do caffine (i don't remember since i was hammered when he told me). nevertheless i saw him out superlatenight every day fo the fest. but back to my point that is an ignorant statement, and the sort of generalization that has persistantly dogged our culture and has for the most part resulted in the stagnation of electronic party culture in america (note- i did not say music, i said party) please keep you cynical remarks to yourself, i can't speak for the rest of the board, but i don't come here to have my culture shat upon.
