MOBY THE SOUTH BANK SHOW Sunday 14th July at 10.45pm - ITV After the success of "Play", which sold over 10 million copies worldwide, Moby is back with a new album, "18". The South Bank Show has been there to document this exciting time in Moby's life and career and travels back to where it all began. They visit Harlem, where Moby was born, and the New England town of Darien, where he was brought up. Moby's best friend, artist Damian Loeb, discloses how Moby's childhood has helped to make him the person he is and how it has influenced his creative drive. The program goes on to chart Moby's early career as a nightclub DJ in New York and then as a successful techno/dance music artist with tracks such as 'Go!' In an exclusive interview at his home studio in New York, Moby shares many of the secrets of his creative processes and talks candidly about his life and career. The film also explores the reasons behind Play's success, including why the album was such a slow-burner.
