Location: PURE DETROIT store, Fisher building, in the heart of the festival site. This beautiful new store is also home to Pure D Vinyl, Detroit's only all-genre, all vinyl record store. This free event will also be a food drive - and Planet E is asking you to donate a non-perishable food item, which we will take to a metro Detroit homeless shelter/soup kitchen. While the TasteFest is a celebration of food abundance, lets not forget that many of our fellow Detroiters dont eat simply because they cant afford food. Please help us with this minimal but unified effort to make a real difference in our community! RSVP ..... This invitation-only affair is an evening of food, drink, and music - Detroit style. Only 200 passes are available; please read on for when and how to RSVP. CORKED! Friday, July 5, 2002 10 pm - 1 am Pure Detroit, north/east corner of the Fisher Bldg, New Center, Detroit. Enjoy complimentary refreshments and sample these fine wines from Spain, just perfect for a warm summer evening: Finca Luzon Merlot Vina Alarba Old Vine Grenache Protocolo Rose Basa (a lovely light white) Sipping sounds provided by Detroit's legendary Anthony "SHAKE" Shakir and Ann Arbor radio genius CARLOS SOUFFRONT. Of course, all kinds of Planet E merchandise will be available for sale - t-shirts, CD's, and vinyl - including the new double vinyl of RECLOOSE > CARDIOLOGY.
