you need to install your OS without ACPI, and then do some backround
services optimizations for audio

I would recommend XP as your OS of choise for audio.

www.musicxp.net has some good tweak info and I can help you beyond that if
you have questions.

Im able to get 4ms latency at 96khz/24bit on my xp PC with 1ghz p3 and 512
megs of ram.

Im using the delta 2496
