I've never heard them, I think the last time I went to Lost was around 6
yrs ago.
What are they like? Techno? Funk? are they non-electronic?
And yes, John Kennedy, good DJ.
Anyone remember Lee Insync's LOST sets, they were the mutts
nuts.............

LOST present their decennial event on 25th of August, celebrating the
club's
10th birthday. From starting out in a photographic studio in Camden, LOST
has grown into what is undoubtedly one of the world's most renowned and
respected techno nights, along the way exposing some incredible talent from
all corners of the globe, as well as providing a forum for some now
well-known homegrown DJs to develop.
For this very special event, the guests are among those who have formed a
strong relationship with LOST during its time. Steve Bicknell is joined in
the Red Area by Jeff Mills - who himself first played for LOST back in
1993.
This marks Jeff's first club appearance in London since he played for LOST
on New Years Eve. For those who were present, I need say no more. This will
be an exclusive UK appearance from one of the world's finest DJs.
Also in the Red area, Fumiya Tanaka is welcomed back to the LOST fold.
Since
his first appearance at the club, he has returned on many occasions,
although not for some time. The Torema records head will be laying down
some
of his signature tough, minimal grooves on the night and will make the most
of his appearance at LOST.
As always, backing the guests up in the Red room will be LOST promoter,
resident DJ, and acclaimed producer Steve Bicknell, who really has tied the
parties together since LOST's inception with his blend of densely textured
techno and house. It's a landmark occasion for Mr. Bicknell, so perhaps
he'll be pulling something special out of the bag to mark the event.
The night opens in the Red area with some live jazz-fusion provided by the
Dru Kru - fast becoming LOST regulars, and gaining more popular with each
appearance. The band will be presenting a set of their existing material,
with a healthy amount of live improvisation on the spot.
In the Blue room, it's very much a case of referencing the past whilst
still
moving forward into the future. Colin Faver played at the very first LOST
event back in 1992, and Colin Dale debuted not long after, that same year.
Both these guys have paid their dues over extensive careers in the techno
game.
Colin Faver has been DJing since the early 80s and has played a role in
some
of the capital's most seminal club nights. He's still very much in demand
at
techno parties internationally. One of Colin's most respected ventures was
the legendary Knowledge night - co-hosted with tonight's other Blue area
guest, Colin Dale. This Colin also made his name in the early 80s - playing
funk and soul in London clubs. He is well known for his role in Kiss FM's
early pirate days, where he brought underground music to the masses. These
days he plays all over the globe, including a residency at The Rex in
Paris.
Supporting this pair of techno stalwarts will be Kim Bilir and Mario -
providing a solid blend of house and Blue area beats, and providing ample
alternative to the action in the Red area.
LOST would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all who
have supported them over the past 10 years - it's truly appreciated.
Furthermore, LOST wish to extend thanks to all those who have brought us
all
their music throughout the club's history.
