kim rapatti's mood ep has always been my favorite. there's some agreeable j.tejada stuff (as mr.hazeltine), an interesting 2x12" sampler, an ep of minimal bass groovers by smyglyssna & a neodetroit album by mannequin lung in the first half of their catalog. plug research had an advanced aesthetic since early on & is one of the paths that led to Microhouse. i don't know anything about their newer stuff. asked about their inspirations the labelmakers once said something like: for a long time it was robert hood, now we've finally gotten around to carl craig.
