James Duncan is originally from Toronto and owns his own imprint called Le Systeme Records. He's an amazing Horn player, as well as a DJ.
He splits his duties in NYC playing as a part of free jazz ensembles and playing the horn as part of the Metro Area ensemble. He has a jazz group called IZITITIZ, that includes members of the No Neck Blues Band (a project on Thurston Moore's Ecstatic Peace! record label). He's an excellent DJ and producer. He has a single recently released on Traxxx, a sub-label of Dancetracks Records, in NYC. Its slamming, though it doesn't sound like Metro Area. His label, Le Systeme, releases free jazz, as well as House music.
