The strict definition of a 313 night is that there's no off-topic conversation, no spam, and at least one vitriolic argument about Richie Hawtin before the last record is played :)
No, seriously, the last one was more like a pseudo-313 night what with the short notice and the large numbers of "normal people" who staggered in off the street. It was fun to see 313ers' music selections serve as a backdrop for a bunch of people's Saturday night in London, but it didn't have the feeling of cohesion that the Public Life night had. So I am quite up for doing another night at Public Life, hopefully in November sometime (although not the 30th, as WIDE and also Ultimate Base are apparently planning to do nights on that day - planning in advance here!). I have been in talks with a *very* well known, *very* old school figure on the UK electronic scene and am currently trying to persuade him to come and play. I can't say who it is, but I think most people would agree that it would be a coup if we could get him on the decks :) More news as it comes in!
