Firstly, thanks very much to all you guys who responded about the Universal Indicator Red record; it was very infomative.
I think it is a Universal Indicator rather than a Badboy Acid record because of the references dilution and dynamics and the Cornish-sounding name etched into the run-out grooves (see below), but I could be wrong. The R & S connection was presumably a red herring, which isn't surprising, because the guy from the shop doesn't really seem to know much about this sort of thing, as evidenced by the price he sold the record to me for (also see below). I was completely wrong when I said it had 6 tracks, and in fact it does indeed have 8 as Sakari suggested. To clear up the issues about the run-out grooves, nowhere does it actually say "innovations in the dynamics of acid", but on the first side it says "dynamic," "a porky prime cut," "tr-606 side 1," "p+c 1989" and "ltd 1000." On the second it says "undiluted," "a porky prime cut," "tr-606 side a1," and "made at Liannerlog, UK." Sakari, I wonder if you took note of how much the similar item sold for on ebay? I don't think it want to sell it because it's an excellent record and I do like the idea of collecting Rephlex-related stuff, but it would be quite funny if it's valuable because I bought it for £3!
