I know why a laptop show is boring. It's because the f**king music the artist is playing is boring.
I just wondered what the other options are for an electronic artist playing live?
I saw a great laptop performance last week, the artist didn't do much. Just the odd little grin when he heard people screaming. I really cannot understand the problem with this kind of performance? What do you expect make up, costumes, dancers? ie Basement Jaxx?
Of course some kinds of laptop performance, like the one at the tate which started the thread some people find boring. I think that's more to do with the type of music than the fact it was coming from a laptop??
