Lucky finds

Underground Solution - LuvDancing

1)last week i asked about everyone's favorite label art,
this week it's time
for your favorite sleeve. now most of the house/techno
records i buy
nowadays, come in a plain black or white sleeve, but there
are a few nice
exceptions to the rule. one of my my favorite sleeves is not
[313] but
                [312]:

lil louis and the world - journey with the lonely lp

                which i just won on ebay [< $10 !!!]

2)so what have been your most lucky finds?
an extremely expensive record, that you found cheap, or a
record you had
been looking for that you found somewhere, you'd never
expected it to find,
or a tune you had been looking for for ages, that you didn't
even know the
title of, that you happened to stumble upon.
to me this is probably the most fun part of searching for
records [well not
always...] digging the 2nd hand/used records bins everywhere
you see them.
you'll be surprised at what gemms you can find at unusual
places.

3)just like a lot of other [313]list members i went to
amsterdam last friday
to hear brett dancer and larry heard play some records at
paradisco3000. and
had a great time! brett was already playing when i got in at
around 1.30,
and he played a quality set, with almost only classics, from
ymo, to model
500, 'washing machine','altered states' and many more. larry
came after him
around 3.00, and [to me] never really got going, maybe it
was because brett
dancer played quite a hard set, so going deep after that,
and keeping the
dancefloor filled at the same time was difficult. by 4.00 a
lot of people
had allready left, and that's not really helping the dj
either. but he still
played some great tracks, he even played 'energy flash', not
a record i had
expected to hear that night. so all in all, i had a great
night, great music
nice people, and great looking women [yes, that ís important
too.]
and paradiso has got a lot more to offer the next couple of
months: leroy
burgess, domu, sun ra dedication night with jimi tenor &
kirk de giorgio,
and i think i saw a poster announcing kerri chandler?

                jurren
