Wildly off-topic by this point but...

The soundtrack which was released for this film is totally different to the actual score, they've re-worked most of the tracks, rapped over them, that kind of thing. It's pretty good, mind, but it missed a few ace tracks (esp. the music when he's practicing on the roof).

Anyway, I seem to remember there was a 4-track vinyl promo doing the rounds when the film came out. Did anyone pick it up? and if so, what was on it?

Oh, and a bit of pointless movie trivia, the indian guy they mistake for Ghost Dog (Stupid F**king Whiteman) was Gary Farmer, who played exactly the same character in Dead Man...

Perfect film.

There was a thread recently about movie soundtracks... don't know if this
one was mentioned then but showing tonight on Chennel 4 at 11.40pm is 'Ghost
Dog: The Way Of The Samurai' which has a wonderful dark hip-hop soundtrack
by The RZA that many on this list will really enjoy. It's also an all-round
excellent film: directed by Jim Jarmusch and starring Forest Whitaker as a
pigeon-keeping Zen-abiding mob hitman whose bosses turn against him. My
favourite scene is the one with the hardbitten mobster dancing around his
bathroom to the strains of Public Enemy's 'Flavor Flav Cold Lampin' - sheer
genius.
