Can anyone explain what Gil Scott-Heron meant when he said: "We beg you pardon america, because the pardon you gave this time, was not yours to give." and: "The man who tried to steal america is not in gail."
He said it after president Nixon resigned. (on his midnight band - the first minute of a new day lp) I am european and not so familiar with all the details about the black revolution.. (or how would you want it to be called?) There must be plenty of americans on this list who know what it means.
