Thought i'd pass along a story so that people might have an idea of what kind of man he was.
A local radio station in Toronto was talking about his last visit to the station, just over a year ago. The studio is located in a store front venue on Yonge st (the major north-south street which divides the city), in the heart of downtown Toronto. He walked into the place... said 'Hello!'... spit his gum in the garbage... pulled out his guitar, turned around and proceeded back out the door. He then stood out front playing for the people who had gathered until it was time for his interview. Then, after the interview had finished he walked back outside, and stood there signing autographs till everyone of his fans got a signature. Needless to say he was there for a few hours. ;) Cheers! ...gotta go listen to some Clash now. :) G Rob Theakston wrote: > > http://www.cnn.com/2002/SHOWBIZ/Music/12/23/britain.strummer/index.html > > Damn.
