well think about that before your first post to 313 is as nit-picky as telling
someone what NOT to include in their playlists. Post your own playlists and
leave the dates off if it bothers you. But really, your first 2 posts to 313
are demanding rants about what's wrong with everyone else, and what WE can do
to serve YOU better?

Try again friend... posting to this list can be done without pishing all over
everyone in the process, it's a community and should be treated as such. When
people check their attitude at the door it's amazing, so do most others!
Whaddya know... the purpose of 313 is not to serve any one persons desires,
it's a community based on mutual contributions so welcome to it.

About playlists on 313, most people include "playlist" in the subject line, if
there's something you don't want to deal with simply delete it. I like to see
what other people are playing and that's why I post mine in return. Funny how
that works.

I sometimes include dates for older tracks or different genres on my radio show
playlists because I am personally tired and bored by DJs who think a great set
is buying the last 25 disposable bangers that came out from the 'hot wall
picks' at any given store, and stringing them together in an entirely
predictable way.

I try to mix old and new funk/soul/house/techno and odd tracks in a
detroit-inspired way that is original and breathes new life into something
often overlooked by a younger generations of genre-specific Insta-DJs. And
often both on the air and online people ask for dates for context when they
inquire, esp. with weirder old disco, italo, or proto-techno, etc. If it
bothers you, make sure to delete all my playlists before you open them, it's
less likely to upset you.

Relax, the negativity around here lately is so UNNECESSARY. PEACE,

Matt MacQueen
