Incidentally check out the work Osunlade has done of late with 'neo-soul'
singer Vivian Green. The song Emotional Rollercoaster is picking up play on
urban radio Stateside. Green used to sing back-up for Jill Scott. I think
Osunlade has two songs on the album. It gets a bad wrap from AMG and Amazon,
but I like the vibe, though I guess she could develop more as a songwriter.
The only pity about Emotional Rollercoaster on vinyl is that it comes with a
dance/club mix by Junior Vasquez.
Osunlade remixed a Ms Dynamite song lately too, Ms Dynamitee, I think, in
deep house style, and it's hot.
While I am at it, has anyone else heard of an R&B singer Lathun from
Detroit? He did an album on Motown last year, and I remember years ago him
doing some Miami bass for Jermaine Dupri on So So Def. He has a song Didn't
I? on his album which I love.
