Hey! I've been off list for a while. I notice all the talk of Shake in
Holland, sorry to be a bit late, but how was he? He was playing up at Scott
& Nick's T-Funkshun in Liverpool on Friday and played all kinds of stuff:
KDJ, The Clash, old Prelude stuff and, of course, Radiohead. Someone's
probably mentioned it already. It was a great sojourn oop north. Great to
meet the debonair and few pints worse for wear Alex Bond - where did you get
to? Left the T-Funkshuneers in the pub with Shake the next day, though he
was strictly on the Mecca Cola. Not been much in the way of great Detroit
records for me lately, but maybe I've just been missing the recommendations
and playlists from here. Mills' "Medium" is maybe the only thing I've picked
up. Oh, and the latest Theo Parrish with Hanna but that one's going to sit
on the shelves, I think. Has anyone seen the Liaisons Dangereuses LP reissue
here in the UK yet? Enough questions for one post.
