"calling fergie a techno dj (as radio1 do) is taking the mick" is that a double joke cos he's irish :)

Shame really cos they have every other type music covered on specific shows but not Techno...to be sure to be sure :) -----Original Message----- From: robin pinning [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 06 May 2003 14:41 To: Grammenos, Peter Cc: 313@hyperreal.org Subject: RE: (313) a couple of threads... > > hasn't mills, hawtin, etc... been on radio 1? > yeah as guest essential mixes etc.....don't get me wrong i'm not complaining but i find it odd that techno/electro and house aren't really supported by radio1 with a full time weekly slot. calling fergie a techno dj (as radio1 do) is taking the mick robin... > > > -----Original Message----- > From: robin pinning [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Tuesday, May 06, 2003 8:05 AM > To: 313@hyperreal.org > Subject: Re: (313) a couple of threads... > > > > > fair point... > > i could imagine dave clark doing it tho... > > ok, so if techno is so overground here why is there no techno show on BBC > radio1?? > > actually same for quality house too... > > ....probs a good thing, thinking about it > > robin... > > > just picking up on some of the last few threads.... > > > > the 'why isn't techno a bit bigger in the US thing....' > > and the ipod thing.... > > > > was thinking - I wouldn't have thought that in the UK you'd get Apple > > paying a bunch of fairly underground music artists to promote their new > > product. > > > > It'd be frigging Carl Cox and Fergie doing it over here..... > > > > so - just remember folks, the grass is always greener on the other side. > > And, hey, things aren't that bad are they - I know there's a bit of a > > downturn, but you know, I think maybe things are looking OK...... > --- Incoming mail is certified Virus Free.
