Dunno but this could be some kind of a start:

SCAN 7 are presenting an extraordinary event at the Detroit Historical Museum on Thursday May 22nd. "TECHNO BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER!" is a unique meeting point for fans of Detroit techno, industry people, press and all those with a genuine interest in electronic music to come together and share their thoughts and experiences. The event will run all day and include numerous lectures, workshops, demonstrations, etc. involving many Detroit techno veterans and cutting edge new talent. On Friday there will be a "Techno Brings People Together" evening sky line afterparty across the new Tiger stadium

they had the special access cards last year as well.
 just an extra way to
make money, i think, for people too self-important
to share bathrooms with
the unclean masses. I can't imagine any
afterparties worth attending
would require a DEMF-sanctioned membership pass.

I got this weird email thing from Remix magazine
talking about Movement
2003: DEMF (which right away had me a bit miffed
as to why they added the
DEMF thing at the end) I followed several links
and it brought me to a page
that had this info:

Plans are underway for the Remix Hotel Detroit
as part of the DEMF.
Keep checking back here for details - we'll
post 'em as soon as they
   become available.

They seem to be quite confused as to the name of
the event but I was
wondering if they really are going to have
"member" access cards and all
the crap they say you can get with
it...."sanctioned" after party and
off-site events?? What the hell is a sanctioned
after party? I actually
followed through to the link to see if they were
really doing this but
found no info on the Movement website. What the
hell is Remix on about?!
