comes together tonight to celebrate the life of
Detroit-area businesswoman Laura Gavoor, who died of a
brain aneurysm in October. Gavoor championed Detroit
techno and was instrumental in launching the international
presence of local artists and promoting and booking gigs.
The all-star event organized by her friends and artists
promises to capture the spiritual and soulful side of
electronic music. The lineup includes the 3 Chairs (Theo
Parrish, Kenny Dixon Jr. and Rick Wilhite), Derrick May
