Heard him play at Lost here in London last month. A very purist, very minimal techno set which I enjoyed a lot - mostly because of the way he mixed - I'm not abt to try and define funkiness here, but it felt that way to me - and the fact that he included a lot of m-plant/Hood (etc) stuff. Almost strictly minimal - with very few exceptions.
Two amusing ones which stick in the mind: "Survivor (house mix)" - Destiny's Child (but this was a very strange dub of it, which I suspect he did himself, it was abt 135-140 bpm at least!) "Ma Foom Bey" - Cultural Vibe (the original mix which is in fact very minimal and quite fast at +8!) >-----Original Message----- >From: Ja'Maul Redmond [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >Sent: Wednesday, May 21, 2003 7:00 PM >To: [email protected] >Subject: (313) Hood's Play list > > >Has anyone heard Hood Spin Lately?
