glad you made that observation. now I know I'm not crazy. for years I've
noticed that Prince likes to "borrow" heavily from Kraftwerk (and many other
artists). I used to keep a mental list of his Kraftwerk inspired tracks, but
havent really given it much thought lately. one example that immediately
springs to mind: "Computer Blue" steals melodies from "Computer
World/Computer Love and Pocket Calculator". Darling Nikki was a rendition of
another Kraftwerk tune, but cant recall which "Trans Europe Express" I
think. Erotic City is just that "Ride TheWhite Horse" song. Anyone else
think of any others?

Totally agree!! listening to it now, the sounds and drum machines it's
really a funkier take on some of the sounds that sprang to life on
Kraftwerk Computerworld, which came out only a year and a half before
1999 was released!   Crazy.
