Technics is the industry standard....if you play out at a club/bar/lounge 9
times out of 10 you're going to be playing on 1200s of one spec or another.
Better to practice on what you'll be playing out on imho.  Plus they're
unquestionably reliable to boot.

If it's features you're after go with the MK5G,  that's one nice lookin'
deck and the price isn't too bad (in the US anyway):

It's got pretty much everything a Vestax has except reverse,  and how many
times do you really see yourself using reverse....especially if you won't be
able to use it on a 1200 when playing out??

Ohhh and the Vestax is ugly! ;-)
