He should let Kompakt know that their US distributor won't sell direct to
him - it might make them re-think who is representing them in the US.
Is it just me or is there sort of a monopoly/"cornering of the market" on
distribution in the US for most European/UK labels (and even US labels -
Submerge not included in that)
my local shop is finally dealing with some smaller distributor that readily
supplies Detroit techno and house labels (lots of them smaller labels) and
for the first time in years there is finally a bin that is pretty well
stocked with Detroit techno. Last time I saw this many Detroit records in
this shop was probably around '97-98.
I don't know who the distributor is but they are doing a fine job.
Oh yeah, they've got Detroit related t-shirts now too.
