I dunno - they could have gone the whole hog and put the xfader on the side
panel just for laughs too :]

u don't use gains *that often* ???? How do you maintain a consistent level
thru your mixes ? Surely the gains are used far more often than the aux
sends which are handily located in there place. I reckon if I had a zone I
open it up and swap the aux/gains around.
