i *just* stepped in the door, coming home from that adventure. well worth the trip, the hurt, and the half day of work i just blew off. most fun i've had at a party in YEARS, i can say that without the slightest bit of exaggeration. first time in years i didn't want to punch out all the cheesed*cks crowding me at times square, enjoyed every last bit of ravey atmosphere, and completely cut loose. the music was phenomenal, which goes without saying for the kompakt guys, but i was pleasantly surprised that it held true for drew and chuck at the afterparty too. i'm a little miffed at the way the party was kind of *forced* down at the end by putting deadbeat on-- nothing against the guy's music, it was just ill-timed. i don't think anybody was ready to stop dancing and fispumping and be taken down with some dub yet. well at least i wasn't done. could have just been me, but i thought i heard other outcries of turning the rave back up a couple of notches. anyway, i thought this event wouldn't hold a candle to the kompakt party at sonar 02, after all, who can party like a bunch of spaniards in the summertime?? but it blew it out of the water. go detroit :)
