i decided to check out some vinyl over the weekend. I must have listened to a hundred records or so. Needless to say most of them were pretty lame. One that stood out, not enough to buy though, unfortunately, was the future beat alliance 'lumiere' on verstatile. After hours of dreary and depressingly generic music this one really stood out and sounded pretty fresh & funky. The first question is 'where has beautiful groovy melodic techno gone' ?
also - can anyone tell me which palette 12" the john tejada track 'digital people' appears on ? AND - anyone know where the piano on theo parrish's 'friendly children' is from ? it sounds familiar. Ummm is this record meant to sound like this ? ? ? :^) p
