It seemed completely pointless for him to appear with Slater, as his vox
were perfectly suited to the edgy and hazy vibe that were synonymous with
Aloof.
I can't see that the joining of forces was done for any other reason than
commercial success (nothing wrong with that in itself), but when the music
is severely lacking you have to ask "was it worth it." IMHO, the last decent
stuff that he did was "Freak Funk" but even that was lacking in parts, or
rather, pointing towards his new "direction." I think the big hang up with
Luke S is that he used to be so damned fcking good, and in comparison, his
output now is just weak.

Remember Morganistic? P.A.S.? 11th Plain?? I'm sorry, but Electroclash does
not cut it when you have a recording history such as that. IMO, of course.

I don't agree... Wireless was very good IMHO, with "All exhale" being an
absolutely amazing "electroclash" (or whatever) single. "Alright on top"
wasn't absolutely excellent, but I love the singer's voice (used to be the
singer with The Aloof, a perfect example of underrated act...), so I found
this album very enjoyable... Haven't checked the new stuff yet though, and I
agree these latest records find him straying far from his Detroit-inspired
sound of the Pacefrog years...
