that was f*cking brilliant - got me pulling out my records right away -
been listening to Rhythm & Sound all day
I think they could have stretched it out into at least three episodes and
gone even further in depth but it was great as it was

on a even offer-off topic but keeping within the topic of street
soundsystems
I picked up a CD called "Champeta Criolla vol 2 - Visionary Black Music
from Underground Colombiafrica"
described as Afro-Colombian music from the Caribbean coast: Latin Soukous,
Afro-American Highlife, Cumbia Soweto, etc.
lots of radio bits and scratchy records with simple sound efx

Not only watched it....taped it and LOVED it....

Excellent stuff:-)  Dunno when it's going to be shown again but if you
