I really dig this band called Pinback, one album in particular called Blue Screen Life, really nice stuff, more lush sounds than grindy guitar noise.
Also, other band called The Mercury Program, no vocals, just nice lush music. And one other I dig is called American Analog Set, in similar vein as the others, with vocals. Latest album Promise of Love is great. Also, probably a little better known is The Postal Service, more electronic than traditional band though. Pretty cool sounds there. Apparently the vocalist is also in a band called Deathcab for Cutie, but I am not familiar with them. Hope this helps! I'm all buzzing this morning as I saw one of my favourite bands last night. so, I was thinking, I ain't too up on indie music or bands, can any list members recommend any good bands to listen to? I keep meaning to get some flaming lips stuff, but never seem to be able to find any vinyl when I have cash, so any other recommendations? Thanks!
