and y'know shake can bring it too....i'd really love to see a shake mix-cd someday...i can't think of any mixes that compete at all with shake's track selection and action on the ttables...disco to techno to rock to hiphop and back again and making it sound like it was meant to go together..
DITTO JT!
Some of my most favorite nights out were grinning madly on a dancefloor to Shake's eclectic sets, he's on another level. His set at Green Light Go party (also with Dan Bell & Tejada at Corktown during Movement 03) was killer... and that GIGANTIC sound system in that little old bar didn't hurt any. He'll mix anything with anything and pull it off, lots of cut-n-scratch here and there too, it's in the funk of his mixing style and a knack for selections that comes from just years and years of hearing and DJing good music of all styles. He's not just boxed in by techno, he's using it as a lever on everything else... Remember Claude has cited Shake as his 'teacher' way back when. Nuff said! :)
