In the late 80s, machines like the TR909, TR303, DX100, etc could often be found in pawn shops for under $100. A friend of mine remembers going into a music store in Texas in the mid-80s and seeing a pile of TR606 and TR303 in the orignal boxes, going for $100 for the pair. A friend in Minneapolis bought a TR303, TR909, and a third piece of gear for $75 by answering a newspaper ad.
