seems more electronic artists are actually getting into visual
accompaniments, i heard richard devine has a dvd coming out, autechre's
gantz graf was pretty impressive, richie's disconnect (and maybe a
dvd?), and another i probably shouldn't be talking about quite yet..

it's a good path, virtually unexplored especially when you throw in the
5.1 possibilities

gondry, spike jonze, and cunningham do their most interesting work with
musicians they're into, like white stripes, beasties,
aphex/squarepusher, hopefully more pimp directors that are into good
techno will start popping up

As I mentioned once before on this list - there used to be a website
that
had videos of techno artists but is no longer in operation.
It's too bad because they had Carl Craig's "Televised Green Smoke" video
-
which was very cool.
I'd love to see some collection on DVD of Detroit techno/house videos
past
and present.

With all the underground video makers and people like Michel Gondry and
such into cutting edge/underground music you'd think someone would be
approaching some techno heads to make videos. I don't mean some shaky
hand-held DV shot in a dark club but actual music videos with concepts
and
higher production. Anyone remember the Inner City videos? If not check
them
out on KMS's website.

I know - nowadays it takes major label money to make most videos but I
don't think this is entirely true anymore with the technology and talent
available
