I don't know what ppl expect from a list....

I like a bit of banter...reviews mixes.. and ppl telling me what
records to look out for....i'd say about 1/2 my entire Detroit / techno
purchases in the last 4 / 5 years have come from
recommendations/knowledge gained on this list....

-> 5 years on this list seem to be enough; this used to be a
great list
        -> with great people.

i've been on here all that time too (and a lot longer!) and one
thing is
consistent: people whining about how this _used_ to be a good
list.

a list is as good as the people who _contribute_. the people who
contribute
are not here as some kind of show that you can demand your money
back on
because they are not jumping throught the right hoops.

there are some people on here who start one-liner threads and
reply with
such but for the most part these are the same people that also
talk about
        the music too.

lastly, this isn't directed at anyone in particular (sakke your
comment is
just used as an example) but please folks let's get this into
perspective.
this list is a great list, ok it sometimes gets chatty but it's
also a great
way to find out what detroit related records are about, what
detroit related
djs are about in your area, to listen to some great mixes etc.
and to
connect with people from all over the world that are into this
music.

        robin...
