Sorry not to talk about Stockhausen or fascism but I would just like to wholeheartedly agree that Saturday night was one of the most amazing musical experiences I have ever had. In fact, it was also one of the most amazing visual feasts I have ever had. I couldn't get to sleep *last* night because I had 'Man Machine' going through my head, and when I woke up this morning it was *still* in my head. Am I going to need therapy to get thorugh this? I NEED to see them again.
As for the lack of people dancing, the inclined floor at the Brixton Academy is hardly ideal. Or maybe I am just getting old and arthritic? N P.S: Gary - I think I was naive to think we would ever 'bump into each other' in there...! >>> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 22/03/2004 08:42:42 >>> I think the visuals for the whole show were amazing. It was very cool how they used all the artwork from their album sleeves, it worked so well with the music. After all these years, they came out & proved that their still the Daddies (or Granddaddies even!) Kraftwerk tracks have been on shuffle in my head since Saturday. Best thing i've witnessed during 10 yrs of enjoying electronic music - i doubt it will ever be bettered. The robots were sooooo f*cking cool. I was a bit nonplussed by the whole thing at the start, probably until around 'The Model' (which had amazing visuals), but then as my favorite songs emerged I got completely involved. It's hard to articulate what it's like really, but it's very very cool when you're hearing your favorite stuff. Do not miss it if you can help it.
