i agree. i sold all of my records in 1992-ish on a whim (got tired of buying new records that were crap pressings and skipped like mad so figured CDs were the way to go) and, though there were only 1000 or so at the time that i had, i regretted it quite soon thereafter and soon stopped buying cds and went back to buying vinyl again. unfortunately, many of that 1000 were irreplaceable and i haven't seen them in the 12 years since. plus, i *really* didn't make much money from those records, certainly only a tiny fraction of what i paid for them initially, especially cos many were imports, but even if all 1000 had been given to me free initially (and they *weren't*) the money made from selling the records was not very much at all. i think it would make more sense to sell a turntable (because you can always buy another one down the line) or some re-attainable books or something
like that rather than records.
