Was the sound quality on the original really so 'bad'? In terms of dynamics, I doubt there is any real lack compared to the average pressing. Any imperfections in 'cleanliness' seem aesthetic to me rather than a matter of quality control - which has been a theme for Detroit 'popular' music for about 40 years! It's necessarily a matter of taste though, of course. k >
